ING Direct is offering 90 day tax free savings accounts at a 2.5% interest rate right now. If you are already an account holder or want to sign up this is a good option on a short term.
The rate is locked in for the duration of the term. There are no fees or service charges and there is also no minimum you have to put into the account. Although, it’s obviously much more beneficial the more you can contribute to the account.
They also have 180 or 270 day terms, but the interest rate is just 1%.
