A&W Canada is celebrating a big milestone — 50 years of Rooty the Great Root Bear! To mark the occasion, A&W is introducing Rooty’s Birthday Bundle, filled with all of Rooty’s favourite Canadian classics.

The special combo includes a Teen Burger, crispy Onion Rings, and a frosty A&W Root Beer, all served in cheerful Rooty-themed birthday packaging. Every bundle also comes with one of five exclusive Rooty birthday stickers — and if you’re lucky, you might find the rare golden Rooty sticker, created to honour his 50th anniversary, also known as the golden jubilee.

You can enjoy Rooty’s Birthday Bundle at A&W restaurants across Canada, but the celebration doesn’t stop there! Select locations in Calgary and Toronto will be hosting Rooty Birthday Parties on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first 100 guests will receive free Rooty goodie bags, and fans will get the chance to meet Rooty in person!
