PayPal has been emailing out an offer for $10 cash back when you make any purchase using PayPal at The Shopping Channel website. This offer is available to anyone with a PayPal account, you do not need the email or any special promo code.
This offer begins October 19, 2012 (today) and ends October 23, 2012. The purchase must be made using a Canadian PayPal account in good standing.
There are several items on the site under $10, so if you don’t have anything to purchase from The Shopping Channel you can get Cash Back still. The Duzi All-Natural Wood Fibre Cloths (14″ x 16″) are just $2.30 on clearance and include free shipping and handling for example.
The Fine Print
The following transactions are excluded from this Offer: PayPal Mobile transactions, gift certificate payments, gift card purchases, Easy Pay® purchases, automatic and/or recurring payments that you have scheduled and payments made when you are not logged into your PayPal account. If the payment is refunded or cancelled at any time, you are not eligible for the Offer. If the payment is refunded after you receive the cash back, PayPal will deduct the cash back amount from your account.
I just ordered those cloths today, and FYI you get to choose what kind of free shipping you want. (Purolator requires a signature)
Canada Post 7-10 business days
Purolator Ground 5-7 business days
Purolator Air 3-5 business days
You get the $10 credit to your account within 4-6 weeks of your first order
Really sad that a promotion is used to up the prices.
I placed an order this morning, the total invoice from my inbox is
copied and pasted….
Your total order value is $ 64.30
Which includes taxes and shipping.
So after reading about this wonderful ten dollar rebate I deleted the order via phone and ten minutes later, when I went to reorder the exact same product via internet, the cost had gone up to become a total of $87.99.
When I called to complain I was told it is the Shopping Channel’s website and they can do what they want.
So where are the savings?
